About me
I had my first computer at the age of 12, sold my first website at 17, and since then, I decided to design the user experience of web applications that will make an impact. I am originally from Belgium where I studied Computer Graphic Design (Bachelor Degree). After completing my degree, I quickly moved to Paris for two years, I then moved to Australia in 2011, and became a citizen a few years later.As a design leader, I have experience in managing full-time employees, and contractors (onshore and offshore) and developing the design practice. I help set priorities in quarterly planning, develop roadmaps in partnership with other disciplines, and coach the team to work towards a goal. I have a catalogue of different influencing techniques and communication styles that I use in different contexts and with stakeholders of different backgrounds.
As a design practitioner, I have researched and designed user experiences for the web and mobile apps, I worked in both B2C and B2B environments across different industries such as banking, insurance, telecommunication, accounting, telehealth, and retail. I also conducted hundreds of hours worth of user research activities exposing me to different user behaviours and design patterns.
Highlights
- (2023-Present) Working on the StarRez core product and Design System
- (2021-2023) Redesigned the wellteq core mobile app (Acquired by Advanced Health Intelligence)
- (2018-2020) Redesigned the Target Mobile App and moved it from 3 to 4.6 stars on the App Store, and also led the UX practice
- (2017-2018) Worked on tax and legal softwares for Thomson Reuters
- (2014-2016) Consultant for Symplicit: RedBubble, Goodyear, Adairs, Telstra, LaTrobe University, General Electric, AGL, BOC, Me Bank, ANZ, Suncorp
- (2011-2013) Created the front-end and Design System of the entire Whispir core product
