It takes time and effort to influence stakeholders in debate about design decisions, especially when these decisions must benefit both the business and the users.
To effectively influence stakeholders, I first spend plenty of time with the users, I then run all sorts of experiments.
Sometimes these experiments fail, sometimes they succeed and when they do, I can finally propose a design solution that everyone understands.
I do user research and interaction design but I am not great at doing visual design. I am currently working hard at Thomson Reuters on a new accounting practice suite named Onvio.
